The West Side Tennis Club, the original home of the U.S. Open, has been an institution in Forest Hills for nearly a century. The club traces its roots back to the late 1800's, when its founding members would gather to play tennis in Central Park.
The club moved several times before finding its current home in Forest Hills in 1912.
Currently, members enjoy tennis courts with a variety of surfaces, a club house that offers fine dining, and a swimming pool for use in the summer months.
