History
When my son was denied services about 20 years ago, my parents told me to table the meeting and retain a special education advocate. Both my parents are teachers and my mom was a special education teacher. That's how I started being an advocate for children. Today, I'm advocating for over 150 families in Suffolk, Nassau, NYCDOE, Rockland and Westchester.
Specialties
I'm a Special Education advocate assisting you at CPSE, CSE and IEP Meeting. My goal is to assist you in developing an IEP to discuss placement, program, related services, accommodations, modifications and annual goals. Assist getting independent evaluations at district expense. Discuss getting home services such as SEIT, SETSS, BIS, reading and math at home at district expense. Our goal is so your child is able to be as independent as possible. It's my opinion that District's take advantage of parents but that will not happen when I'm your advocate. I'm extremely professional and I'm always prepared for the meetings at the school. It's my policy to meet you and your child prior to the meeting to develop a plan.
