The Village School is a public alternative high school program within the Great Neck School District. It caters to students who thrive in a creative environment, or require a more individualized learning experience. Courses are ungraded, and instead credits are given for classes completed with satisfactory attendance and participation, as well as a resonable homework record.
The school also specializes in education for students with disabilities.
The school is for students in grade eight through twelve. The school's approximately 50 students learn inside a small cottage near the Village Green.
