The clerk-treasurer is the village's Chief Fiscal Officer, which means that s/he supervises both this office and the Management Information Services office, and is responsible for the village's revenues and expenditures.
The current clerk-treasurer is Agostino A. Fusco. His office is located on 123 Mamaroneck Ave.
The clerk prepares and keeps the minutes of board meetings, and compiles a record of village resolutions and local laws. S/he also issues parking permits, dog licenses, senior citizen taxi coupons, birth and death certificates; and records all written notices of defect reported to the village.
As the Records Management Officer, the clerk maintains custody of the village seal, books, records and other official reports. S/he is also the Records Access Officer for purposes of the Freedom of Information Law. FOIL requests may be sent via email directly to foil@vomny.org
Before the fiscal year starts, the clerk-treasurer assists the village manager in developing the annual budget, which is then submitted to the board of trustees. At the end of the fiscal, s/he evaluates the year's financial statements. The clerk also issues several financial reports throughout the year.
The villages fiscal year runs from June 1 through May 31.
