In operation since 1986, the Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency, also known as U.C.R.R.A., is a public benefit corporation that provides a range of water collection and wastewater disposal services. It is administered by the Ulster County Legislature. The agency is designed for the purpose of developing, financing and implementing solid waste management programs. It recycles services for newspapers, corrugated cardboards, glass bottles and jars, metal cans, and plastic bottles and jugs. The agency operates a materials recovery facility to process recyclable materials. The Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency s facilities accept recyclable materials from businesses, institutions and waste haulers. It provides transfer station, roll-off rental and transportation services. The agency additionally offers renovation, cleanup, and construction and demolition debris removal solutions.
