Forest Park is the third-largest park in Queens, home to a number of attractions including playgrounds, dog runs and hiking trails. It boasts more than 500 acres of wooded areas and open fields. The running and hiking trails in the woods are filled with densely packed wooded areas, all of which provide for a strong element of nature in an otherwise heavily populated neighborhood. With playgrounds and open areas at several different points throughout the park, as well as an 18-hole golf course, Forest Park provides a plethora of options for everyone. The park has multiple entrances for Forest Hills residents, most of which are along Metropolitan Avenue.
