Established in 1980, by owner Milton Wood, Thermo Cool is a family owned and family operated business that has been serving Dutchess, Orange, and Ulster counties for over 30 years. Thermo Cool specializes in forced air heating, central air conditioning, ductless splits, automatic stand-by generators, as well as custom sheet metal fabrication. Central Air Conditioning We sell Bryant, Carrier, Payne, Tempstar, Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, and Buderus however, we have access to other brands should our valued customer prefer another brand of equipment. We personally go out to each estimate and measure each door and window to ensure that each system is sized properly by using the Wrightsoft HVAC Engineering program. Each duct system is designed by the owner and fabricated in our shop by hand. We take pride in our work and we are sure our customers will be happy with the system we installed. Ductless Split Systems We offer both Central Air Conditioning Split systems as well as Heat Pump Split systems. These units are energy efficient and wall mounted. They are also zoning capable. These units can be used in homes, schools, restaurants, convenience stores, hotels, sunrooms, additions and many more places. They are mounted high on the wall and do not require any ductwork. They are quiet, easy to maintain, and can save you money on your annual utilities. Heat Pumps are designed to work as an air conditioner in the warmer months and work as a heater in the cooler months. In the warmer months, a heat pump transfers heat from inside your home and sends it outside. A heat pump then reverses in the cooler months by extracting heat from outside and moving it into your home. Heat pumps are highly efficient and use less energy. Bryant Evolution Extreme Heat Pump offers up to 20 SEER with up to 13 HSPF, making it up to 4 times cheaper to operate than oil. This heat pump offers the potential for savings during the heating and cooling months. It provides the most comfort for the lowest operating costs and has WIFI remote access, and a touch screen thermostat. Gas and Oil Furnaces Depending on the efficiency you desire, a Bryant Legacy, Preferred or Evolution series furnaces are highly recommended. Gas and Oil Boilers Buderus boilers are the most frequently requested boiler. Due to lower fuel consumption and lower heating costs, Buderus boilers are very efficient. Air Purifiers maximize air purification with filtration and pathogen killing combined. They capture and kill viruses, mold, and bacteria. We recommend the Bryant Evolution model for ultra, high filtration. Electronic Air Cleaners remove harmful and irritating pollutants from your home, therefore improving air quality. Humidifiers distribute moisture throughout your home which in turn can help with your sinuses, static electricity, throat irritation, and itchy skin. We offer Bryant, Carrier and Aprilaire models. Ultraviolet lights help minimize airborne particles, dust and dirt on coils.
