History
In 2011, Brookfield began a $250-million renovation to Brookfield Place (formerly known as the World Financial Center) to transform the retail and public space into a world-class shopping and dining experience with a curated fashion collection, a European-style marketplace, waterfront dining and exceptional chef-driven restaurants. In 2013, a new glass entry pavilion opened, linking Brookfield Place to the WTC Transit Hub and soon, the Fulton Street Transit Hub. In June 2014, the second component, Hudson Eats, an upscale dining terrace overlooking the Hudson River, opened, featuring fast-casual concepts from 14 chef-driven eateries. Following through Spring 2015, Brookfield Place will open a large, 25,000 square-foot French marketplace and an assortment of six notable restaurants to complement an exceptional dining experience.
Specialties
Great taste can't be rushed; not on the vine, not in the kitchen, and not at the table. At Tartinery, our bliss is in the unhurried: those simple, deliberate details, from browsing vendorsin search of fresh flavors to lingering over a good meal. We've condensed our attitude into a signature meal: the tartine. Composed of artisan bread, produce harvested at its height, tender proteins, and specialty ingredients like fresh labne, the tartine is made to savor and share.
