History
Sweet Sue's has been a staple in the small town of Phoenicia, New York since Suzanne Taylor first opened her doors in 1984. Taught by her mother and grandmother, Sue relied on her natural talent and love of baking to create delectable treats that quickly became the talk of the hills. As word of Sweet Sue's spread, so did Sue's reputation as a master pancake maker. People would come from all over to sample her Jacks, and Sweet Sue's became known as the go-to place for an awe inspiring meal at sun up. After 36 years Sue retired her apron and passed on the ladle to two admiring entrepreneurs from down river, Ben Crespi and Noel Wiggins. With a deep bow to tradition and twinkling eyes towards new culinary horizons the two Brooklynites have conjured up a fantabulous new menu of breakfast and lunch confections. The menu features old Sweet Sue favorites plus Heavy Feather coffee, house smoked salmon and bacon, pearlized sugar Belgian waffles and of course, Sue's famous pancakes.
