Established in 1962 in Freeport, the church has been at its current location since 1979, and serves the Greek orthodox community. Congregation size is 400 families. The church offers counseling and confession; its pastor is Nikiforos Fakinos.
They participate in the Greek Orthodox Parade, held in NYC annually. The church has the following organizations—Golden Years, the senior group, who meet on Tuesdays, Little Angels the child youth program, and YAL for single adults. It also has a Philptochos Society.
Every June, the church holds a festival on two consecutive weekends, drawing thousands of people. The church also organizes an Olympics event once a year. The church office is located at 24 Kenny Ave, behind the church.
