Founded in 1890, the Spencerport Fire Department consolidated with the Ogden-Parma Fire District to form the Spencerport Fire District. The Spencerport Fire District serves more than 19,000 residents in Monroe County in New York. The fire district covers an area of over 38 square miles. It responds to nearly 720 emergency calls annually. The Spencerport Fire District maintains a fleet of pumpers, vans and rescues. The fire district operates an Exempts Club, which offers its facilities for private parties on a rental basis. Its Spencerport Fire Department Explorer Post 533 offers training classes for adults between the ages of 14 and 21. The Spencerport Fire District is governed by the city of Spencerport in New York.
