History
Over one hundred years ago, Clara Spence, and Alice and Dr. Henry Chapin started nurseries for babies who needed families. Spence-Chapin continues to help children today. Some live in overseas orphanages; some have serious medical problems; others face very difficult lives. It is our mission to find permanent loving homes for all of them. Over the years, Spence-Chapin has expanded its counseling and support services and offers well-renowned services for pregnant women, birth parents, children and families.
