With beautiful stone architecture and a stunning facade, South Presbyterian Church was placed on the National Register of Historical Places by the US Department of the Interior in 1968. Minister Joseph H. Gilmore, known to parishioners as Joe, has a steadfast commitment to community service, working actively with Dobbs Ferry's branch of Midnight Run. Gilmore espouses a religious philosophy based on social justice and tolerance, welcoming congregants regardless of sexual orientation or identity. There is a religious school Sundays at 10:30 for children of all ages, which also strives to instill in its students a sense of social conscience.
