The Snyder Fire District provides fire, rescue and emergency medical services to more than 20,000 residents in an area of over six square miles. Established in 1930, it houses modern pumpers, aerial ladder trucks, heavy and light rescue vans, emergency medical service response vehicles and a command car. The district also provides necessary equipment and apparatus to firefighters. The Snyder Fire District conducts various fire prevention programs and offers information regarding fire safety. It works to protect lives and property of residents through fire suppression, training and public education.
