Established in 1990, Al-Iman School offers classes in science, reading, math, social studies and language arts with special emphasis on Islamic studies. Al-Iman School, one of the first Islamic schools in North America, serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school provides an advanced preparatory program in math and science to prepare students for college studies. It maintains a more than 70,000-square-foot building that houses conference and lunch rooms, congregation and assembly halls, and classrooms and science and computer laboratories. The school also maintains indoor and outdoor basketball courts. In addition, its library houses a collection on books, CDs and DVDs. Al-Iman School is located in Jamaica, N.Y.
