Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Saratoga Springs Public Library is governed by a five-member board elected by district residents and was founded in 1950. The library has a collection of more than 210,000 items, including over 190,000 books, nearly 20,000 nonprint items, audiobooks, DVDs, multimedia resources, music CDs and videotapes. It provides more than 1,000 library programs that serves over 22,000 people annually. The library offers a variety of online database, including magazines, journals, dictionaries, encyclopedias and car repair manuals. Additionally, it organizes various events, such as adult s and children s programs, computer classes, and teen and parenting programs. The library has a shop that sells used books for adults and children, CDs, puzzles, cassettes, records, videotapes and various other items that have been donated to the store.
