Adolescents are full of amazing potential, and I am honored to serve their healthcare needs. I provide care that addresses the unique needs of patients ages 11-21 as part of a team at our adolescent practices at 51 West 51st Street and at the Audubon Clinic. My goal is to cultivate healthy adolescents who will become the next generation of impactful leaders, capable of reshaping the world into one that is equitable for all.To do so, I believe that adolescents should be afforded the space to learn how to become the best advocates for their health and well-being. In addition to providing primary care (well visits and sick visits), I have special expertise in substance use disorders, mental health, reproductive justice, and health equity and justice. I lead a group of healthcare providers who are developing equitable clinical practices to address a condition linked to excessive cannabis use called cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome. For reproductive health, our clinical practices offer all contraceptive options to our patients and create an environment that empowers teenagers to make autonomous decisions aligning with their goals and needs. I am also deeply passionate about medical education and the growth of the field of adolescent medicine. To that end, I serve as the Associate Program Director for the Adolescent Medicine Fellowship. The ability to advocate for oneself is a critical skill that all adolescents should develop, and as a physician-scientist, I am driven to make systems changes that will provide adolescents with the healthcare tools they need for a purpose-driven, fulfilled, and joyful life.
