Established in 1911, Rotary Club of Buffalo operates as a humanitarian service provider. Located in Buffalo, N.Y., the former is a part of Rotary International, a worldwide organization founded in 1905 in Chicago. The foundation focuses on programs for improvement of health, support of education and alleviation of poverty. The Buffalo Rotary Foundation awards grants to tax exempt organizations for religious, charitable, scientific, literary/educational purposes and for the prevention of cruelty to children/animals. Members of the Rotary Club of Buffalo comprise businesspersons, professionals and community leaders.
