Resource Generation is a multiracial membership community of young people aged 18-35 with wealth and/or class privilege who are dedicated to promoting the equitable distribution of wealth, land, and power. Through various initiatives such as organizing, political education, conferences, and local campaigns, Resource Generation aims to grow its membership and encourage young people with wealth to take action towards achieving economic and racial justice. Since its establishment in the 1990s, Resource Generation members have actively participated in protests, advocacy, and philanthropic efforts to support working-class and poor communities, as well as communities of color.
Resource Generation's work revolves around the belief that wealth inequality should end with the current generation. The organization supports wealth redistribution, which is already taking place, and strives to create a community where young people with wealth can come together, learn, and take collective action to challenge systemic inequalities. By mobilizing resources and funding revolutionary organizations led by marginalized communities, Resource Generation aims to contribute to a more just and equitable society.
