About Our Church The roots of our historic church lie in the soil of the 16th century Reformation in Europe when Protestant refugees in France fled to Pfalz on the Rhine in the German Palatinate to escape persecution. With the promise of the New World, many refugees looked to sanctuary in America. The first arrivals in the New Paltz environs occurred in 1678 and the first worship service was held in 1683. We are a warm and caring church family in the service of Christ. Friendship and fellowship are hallmarks of our way of life. We invite you to attend our worship services and participate in our service groups. Children and youth enjoy our Church School, Junior and Youth Choirs and youth groups. Adults of all ages and interests find fellowship and spiritual uplift by joining in our Senior Choir, Bible Study and varied service groups. Please join us and experience the joy in serving God.
