P.S. 25 or The Eubie Blake School serves grades Pre-K to 5. The principal is Anita Coley. The school's academic record has struggled in past years, but the school's new principal is working to rebrand its image. In 2009 P.S. 25 applied for and won a grant to participate in the iZone Pilot Program. The iZone Program provides every single student with a personal computer in each classroom.
The school's principal says that, already, student attendance and classroom cooperation have improved significantly because of students' ability to work independently and in an engaging way.
As part of promoting a college culture, children in each grade level are assigned a group and a college, a mock enrollment they maintain throughout their time at the school.
