History
Captain Paul White grew up boating and at 13 was a constant shadow behind OJ Colbert, the Marina mechanic. Paul admired OJ's intelligence for all things marine, and was driven by a compelling desire to acquire the knowledge and expertise to become a Master Marine Mechanic. Over the years, he trained in fiberglass repair & construction, marine wiring, gas & diesel fuel and injection processes and gained a plethora of marine related certifications. He has had extensive experience with Crusader, Mercruiser, Volvo, Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit, OMC engines; Onan, Kohler, & Westerbeke generators, has judged competitions in Marine engine repair, and trained many excellent mechanics. Paul has successfully restored antique boats for competition and has a vast knowledge of classic and antique watercraft. In 1977, Paul purchased his love and passion and today the Cove is a reflection of his life; an oasis of calm in a fast-paced world of stress, and a 'sandbox' for boaters and their toys.
