HistoryOpen by appointment only, founded by Glass Artist Nancy Gong, Gong Glass Works beginning as a stained glass studio (previous names changed for simplicity) creating works of art sold at craft shows. The studio moved on commissions for home owners which lead to commissions in businesses, institutions, public spaces and outdoor glass sculptures. The designs are mainly one of a kind. The artist continues to keep her work fresh by expanding her knowledge and skill set with membership involvement in numerous professional organizations including the Glass Art Society, Stained Glass Association of America, American Glass Guild, AIA Rochester and AIANYS.SpecialtiesSpecializing in custom design and fabrication of stained glass, architectural art glass, and other glass artwork including windows, doors, walls, screens, sculptures, donor wall, fine art, gifts and one of a kind handmade art glass awards. By combining a wide range of stained glass and etching techniques with contemporary glass forming processes it is my intention for the art to bring nature, an organic connection to the human spirit in architecture and or interior spaces. With sensitive research for each project, I create unique living, breathing works of art capturing the ethereal, fluid and rejuvenating qualities of various elements through bold and or gentle gestures and color transitions displaying a range of personalities from two dimensional glass. My free-flowing modern designs echo the spirit, energy and beauty of living things with something different to see and experience with every passing view.
