Peninsula Public Library serves the residents of School District 15 with educational materials in all formats and offers a variety of programs throughout the year. Chartered by the State of New York as a school district library in 1951, the children's room at the library carries a broad selection of picture books, easy readers, juvenile fiction, non-fiction and book kits with audio cassettes. It also stocks research materials, magazines, a collection of books on tape and on CD, and videos in both DVD and VHS formats.

Hewlett Woodmere Public Library

The library was established in 1947. The first library building was completed in 1955 and it was expanded in 1966 and renovated and expanded in 1996. The library features a small recital hall that seats 200, as well as an art gallery. The Cranin Courtyard is available for people to read and study outside, featuring seating for summer concerts.
