Founded in 1930, when the Sixth Avenue and the 18th Street Methodist churches merged, Park Slope United Methodist Church is a diverse congregation with programming ranging from a Reconciling Committee dedicated to creating gender and sexual equality in the church, to active music arts and choir programming.
The church building dates back to 1915, and features a pipe organ and colorful stained glass designed by the members in 1999. The church also features a lush community garden.
