Oliver S. Chow, MD, is an attending thoracic surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens and NewYork-Presbyterian, and an assistant professor of clinical cardiothoracic surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. He performs a broad range of minimally invasive thoracic surgery and complex airway procedures. His clinical interests include lung cancer, esophageal disease, and tracheobronchomalacia.After graduating from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, Dr. Chow completed his surgical residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where he also completed his cardiothoracic fellowship. He has received numerous awards for clinical care and teaching. He has published in numerous medical journals and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for Annals of Surgical Oncology, Journal of Surgical Research, and Advances in Wound Care. He is an associate member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the American Association for Thoracic Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, and the Society of Asian Academic Surgeons.A native of Toronto, Canada, Dr. Chow has devoted his career to helping people with diseases of the chest. He is well-trained in the newest technologies, including the robotic daVinci Xi platform, and uses a variety of tools to better serve his patients. Dr. Chow has a clear communication style and excels in guiding patients and their families through challenging illnesses with his comprehensive and compassionate approach.
