Tara Kim, M.D. is the Director of Quality Improvement and Weight Management Programs in the division of endocrinology at Lenox Hill Hospital, and Assistant Professor of Medicine, Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra Northwell. Dr. Kim grew up in Long Island, NY and received her undergraduate degree at Cornell University. She went on to obtain her nursing and nurse practitioner degrees at Columbia University and was a registered nurse at a Level-1 trauma center in Manhattan prior to pursuing further medical education. Dr. Kim received her medical degree at SUNY Buffalo and returned to Long Island for an internal medicine residency. Dr. Kim completed residency and an additional year as Chief Resident at Northwell Health s North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Kim worked at the Northwell endocrine faculty practice in Great Neck and the Center for Transgender Care prior to joining us in Manhattan.
