The Northport-East Northport Union Free School District is a public school system consisting of six elementary schools, two middle schools and a high school located in Northport and East Northport on the North Shore of Long Island in Western Suffolk County. It is SD#4 in real-estate advertisements.
The district serves the communities of Northport, Eatons Neck, Asharoken and much of East Northport, all located in the Town of Huntington.

Students K-5 will either attend Bellerose Avenue, Dickinson Avenue, Fifth Avenue, Nortwood Avenue, Ocean Avenue or Pulaski Road elementary schools, depending on where they live. Students from Dickinson, Norwood and Ocean elementary schools attend Northport Middle School for grades 6 - 8. Students from Pulaski Road School and Fifth Avenue Elementary attend East Northport Middle School for grades 6 - 8. Half of the Bellerose population goes to Northport, and the other half goes to East Northport. All students in the district attend Northport High School.
Northport High School is the only high school in the nation, public or private, to offer its students the International Baccalaureate program, two National Academy programs, Project Lead the Way and over 20 Advanced Placement courses.
The district's administration building is named for Dr. William J. Brosnan, former superintendent of schools for many years, who retired in 2006.
