The North Merrick Public Library initially opened as a storefront on Dec. 5, 1965 and opened at its current location on Oct. 3, 1966. The library has more than 90,000 items available for loan and offers many databases and services online. Programs are offered for children, young adults and adults.
Online services: Live homework help from a tutor, live librarian 24/7, downloadable audio books, databases (newspapers. magazines, reference sources, etc.)
