Nadia N. Amin, MD, is a board-certified internist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley with a focus on health literacy. She graduated from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York as a rural primary care scholar, and completed her residency training in internal medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital at the University of Miami in Florida. As a professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Amin was awarded the coveted George Paff Teaching Award. Dr. Amin also received a commendation by the city of Miami for her extraordinary community service. In New York, Dr. Amin has shown her dedication to patient care and received national recognition for her work at Hudson Valley VA, with an award for high-performing patient aligned care. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and is currently enrolled in their physician leadership institute. She has lectured and published research on patient care, asthma, diabetes and other health conditions. Dr. Amin speaks several languages, including English, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, and Memoni.Dr. Nadia Amin has been selected by Chancellor Betty Rosa and Interim Commissioner Shannon Tahoe to serve on the New York State Education Department’s Reopening Schools Regional Task Force. The purpose of this task force is to guide the reopening of our state's schools when it is safe to do so.
