Mudd Vineyards is a vineyard development and managament/consulting firm based in Southold. Mudd has worked in conjunction with other Long Island wineries to develop vineyards and wines. In 1974, David and Stephen Mudd planted their own vineyard. Since that time, Mudd Vineyards has been involved in planting more than 1,500 acres of vines for Long Island vineyards, and developed vineyards along the East Coast. The company is known throughout the country for its development and management skills. Stephen Mudd has worked with many of the North and South Fork vineyards including Sherwood House Vineyard, Channing Sisters, Cristiano Family Vineyards and Lieb Family Cellars.
