The Philipse Manor station is on the scenic Hudson Line of the Metro-North Railroad. The station building, which houses the Hudson Valley Writers' Center and is listed on the National and State Registers of Historic Places, has been almost completely restored by the Writers' Center. Amenities at the station include two ticket machines – one is on the southbound platform, south of the overpass and the other is upstairs next to the old station building, at the north side entrance of the overpass.
