The Montauket Hotel and its restaurant, best known for its stunning sunsets, are located in a house overlooking Fort Pond. Marilyn Fischer is the current proprietor, and her family has been running the establishment for more than 50 years.
Named for the Montauket Native American tribe, the hotel is on 1.3 acres on Firestone Road. Eight semi-private and four private rooms with a vanity and sink are available. There are two twin beds in each room. The restaurant has a stone fireplace and a jukebox, making it an attractive stop during winter months. It's a real throwback to old Montauk.
