History
Mickey Vershbow has been teaching drum lessons for the last eight years, working with various schools around the northeast such as Jammin' Wtih You! and BANG The Drum School! before opening her own lesson studio in Brooklyn, NY. Mickey got her start as a teacher after studying drum-set performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Having previously studied Music Therapy at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA, she began teaching private lessons as a way to explore the therapeutic potentials of music in a way that was based on her own experience of personal growth through musical discipline. She moved to Brooklyn in 2012, where she began working with Tom Tom Magazine, the world's only magazine dedicated to female drummers. Since then she's been focused on providing resources for anyone who wants to play drums, inspiring students to develop their voice on the instrument, maintain a disciplined practice, and break onto the scene as performers.
