Mercy College is a coeducational and nonsectarian educational institution that enrolls more than 10,000 students at five campuses and an online campus. It was established in 1950 by the Sisters of Mercy. The college offers liberal arts undergraduate education, as well as masters degree programs in several professional areas, such as health education, business, counseling, psychology and teacher training to students. It offers financial and learning support and academic, career and personal counseling to students. Mercy College additionally provides opportunities to students to participate in a variety of athletic activities, including baseball, basketball, cross country, soccer, track and field, tennis, volleyball and softball. It is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of College and Secondary Schools, and registered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York. Mercy College has campuses in Dobbs Ferry, Bronx, Manhattan, White Plains and Yorktown, N.Y.
