History
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 8 years of experience.
Specialties
I offer individual psychotherapy and couples counseling to address emotional distress and relationship problems. My style as a therapist is supportive, empathic, and nonjudgmental. I specialize in working with adults who struggle with relationship issues, overwhelming emotions, and challenging life circumstances and transitions. I prioritize tailoring treatment to individual needs. We can either begin therapy with concrete problem solving techniques and skills, or with examining what is going on in your life and identifying areas to focus on. My goal is to help the people I work with achieve meaningful change. I believe that therapy works best when it is a collaborative process, so I take an active stance while also providing you space to explore your thoughts and feelings. I know that it can be difficult to start therapy and that therapy can be an emotionally intense experience. I welcome and value your thoughts and feelings about the therapeutic process as it is ongoing and believe exploring them can be productive. My approach to psychotherapy is integrative and most informed by psychodynamic, relational, cognitive, and dialectical-behavioral theories and research. I also offer workshops on topics such as: Stress management Coping with anxiety Overcoming performance or test anxiety Mindfulness Sleep hygiene and self-care Improving focus and concentration for productivity
