History
As a long-time East Village resident, Ms. Ehmann always enjoyed the neighborhood bars. In opening Lucky, she is eager to provide a refuge for those seeking an alternative to all the fancy cocktail and craft beer bars, destination venues and places catering solely to college students. As a life-long fan of dive bars, Abby wanted to create a casual, unpretentious ambience where everyone feels welcome and prices are affordable. However, to remain competitive, she decided to offer high-end alcohol and IPAs alongside the PBR and well booze. This bar is a very concrete manifestation of Abby's vision. Basically either you'll love it or you'll hate it.
