The Locust Valley Fire Department (LVFD) is a volunteer organization that has been serving the Locust Valley Fire District and surrounding communities since 1893. Comprised of over 100 dedicated men and women, the LVFD provides fire and rescue services in a 12 square mile area on the Gold Coast of Nassau County, Long Island.
Operating 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, the LVFD consists of six companies, including engine, truck, heavy rescue, and EMS units. With a commitment to professionalism and courage, the LVFD responds to approximately 600 alarms annually, ranging from building fires and motor vehicle accidents to elevator rescues and hazardous alarms.
