Founded in 1973, the League for Animal Protection of Huntington, is an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care and rehabilitation of stray, abandoned and abused animals in Huntington Township . In 1982 the organization opened the Grateful Paw Cat Shelter offering temporary homes for cats and performing FELV and FIV tests, inoculation, spaying and neutering services.
