History
Since 1994, Dr. Larry Hess has worked personally and closely with parents, teachers, clinicians, and learning specialists. As a neuropsychologist, he has advised families and worked directly with students who require all levels of personal guidance through intensive and time-sensitive work. In addition, he has led many seminars and workshops over the years for teachers, parents, clinicians, and tutors, and he has published articles and supervised other psychologists. Topics have included: neuropsychological assessment; obtaining test accommodations (such as extended time); helping with learning disorders and anxiety; understanding ADHD; improving reading comprehension; boosting students' skills with organizing and planning; positive interventions with reluctant writers; the latest on mathematics disorder; learning disorders and anxiety; and, helping with autism spectrum disorders.

Dr. Hess has provided neuropsychological services on Manhattan's Upper East Side for more than twenty-five years and is dedicated to serving each client personally and promptly. Dr. Hess specializes in determining the educational direction that works best for each student, from preschool through adulthood, with action plans based on individual assessment, consultation, and treatment. He helps with taking the guesswork out of difficult decisions about education and other important matters in life. Services for Preschool through Adulthood include: Neuropsychological, psychoeducational, and educational assessments and treatment, providing solid strategies for learning and behavior, and appropriate accommodations (such as extra time on exams).
