La Casita, which in Spanish means "little house," calls itself "a warm, friendly home away from home for knitters and crocheters." Shelves holding skeins of yarn and jars of buttons line the walls, while customers shop and take classes – offered to both adults and children – in knitting and crocheting. A cafe in the back of the shop offers snacks such as empanadas, quiches and pastries, and beverages such as coffee, tea, beer, wine and soft drinks. La Casita will also do custom knitting work.
