Founded in 1974, the Kingsbridge Heights Community Center, also known as KHCC, offers a range of programs for children youths, adults and senior citizens. It administers the Court Help Project program, which assists in negotiating with the court systems. The center's Early Head Start program serves low-income families and pregnant women. It provides after-school programs for children between the ages of 6 and 12. The Kingsbridge Heights Community Center also offers individual and group counseling, job search support and tutoring services. It organizes dance, arts and crafts, and multicultural and recreational activities. The center additionally provides financial aid application assistance and treatment services for sexually abused children. It works in alliance with the Parenting Journey Training Institute.
