History
Karkula's first store opened in Brooklyn New York on Atlantic Avenue under the original name of Breukelen. The design shop was an instant success and was awarded Best New Shop in New York Magazine. In 1999, the first modern furniture was opened in the Meat Packing District. The company's name Breukelen was changed to Karkula in 2003. Karkula's furniture showroom in Tribeca is known for its well edited and curated furniture, flooring and lighting collection from Designers around the world.
