Joshua Novak, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Henry D. Janowitz Division of Gastroenterology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. With a special interest in nutrition, Dr. Novak provides comprehensive care to patients with a wide variety of digestive diseases, including malnutrition, short bowel syndrome, and Total Parenteral Nutrition. He is also skilled in performing nutrition-related endoscopic procedures such as the placement of Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy tubes and Direct Percutaneous Endoscopic jejunostomy tubes.
Dr. Novak received his medical degree from The University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biological Sciences and completed his Internal Medicine Training at The University Hospitals of Cleveland Medical Center. He furthered his training at Case Western and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Medical Center, where he completed fellowships in Gastroenterology and Clinical Nutrition, respectively. Dr. Novak is affiliated with Mount Sinai Morningside, Mount Sinai Queens, The Mount Sinai Hospital, and Mount Sinai West.
