Dr. Mailman is an intensive care physician with a keen interest in technological innovation and medical informatics. He strives for high quality medical care and is a member of the Quality Improvement and Clinical Documentation Improvement Committees. Additionally, he is a member of the institution wide Venous Thromboembolism Reduction Task Force and leads the VV-ECMO Consultation Service as well as the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team. Dr. Mailman works closely with Pulmonary and Critical Care fellows and Internal Medicine residents on programs in the field of clinical documentation integrity and medical informatics.Dr. Mailman led the division through our transition to the EPIC electronic health record and he continues to serve on several committees focused on its optimization and efficient use. He is a Certified Epic Physician builder and has several projects designed to facilitate smoother end-user experiences and capture high quality data seamlessly. Additional projects include hospital automation to bring the medical team back to the bedside.Dr. Mailman obtained his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University. He completed residency training at Stony Brook Medicine and fellowship training at the University of Rochester prior to joining the faculty at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medicine in 2018. In 2023 Dr. Mailman graduated from the prestigious NYP Lead Academy in which he obtained a certificate in Business Excellence from the Columbia Business School.
