History
This 61-acre preserve is a favorite birding site consisting of a partially wooded area bordering the western edge of Round Pond. It is tops among local, critical migratory bird stopover habitats. A 1/2-mile trail loops through woods and has a few views over the cattail wetlands. An extension connects along the edge of the Round Pond marsh to Schaller's Woods (privately owned.) This preserve is open dusk until dawn.
