History
Many of our customers have asked where our previous location is in Brooklyn. Some have commented that our Sicilian pie tastes just like Pizza Park's in Gravesend used to years ago. Here is why you may get that sense of deja-vu when you taste our pizza. Our recipes were handed down from Joe Iannelli (the Big Guy). He served his customers for over 40 years; first in Brooklyn and then later in Staten Island. His Sicilian pies were legendary on Avenue U in Gravesend across the street from the square between Lake and Van Sicklen Streets. He later owned and operated Il Forno of Brooklyn at 7312 13th Avenue in Bensonhurst.
Specialties
Il Forno's Sicilian pie was selected as number one by both the New York Daily News and A Taste of Staten Island! There is always a monthly special on pizza which rotates, and we offer lunch specials! Our menu includes pizza with all the standard toppings, soups, salads, heroes, dinner plates, buffalo or bbq wings, rolls, rice balls, fried calamari and more!
