HistoryFounder and President of Jo-De Ceramic Tile & Remodeling LLC is Joseph Monda. Joe began working in the tile business as an apprentice in 1972 learning the trade from master craftsmen. He started his own business in 1977 as Jo-De Ceramic Tile working primarily in Fairfield and Westchester Counties. In 1979 he moved to Litchfield County, expanding his business in the northwest corner of the state to include eastern New York, southwestern Massachusetts, northwest Connecticut and Hartford County. Over the course of time the business has grown from installing tile, marble and stone into total remodeling of bathrooms and kitchens, as well as some commercial work. In 2010 the business became known as Jo-De Ceramic Tile & Remodeling LLC joining forces with his son, Jesse, whose expertise includes architectural background and carpentry.SpecialtiesOur services include the installation of all kinds of tile, marble, stone, & granite, including the newer products to the market such as glass tile, stainless steel tile, etc. We also do mud work and radiant heat flooring. Over the years the level of clientele we have established has enabled us specialize in the layout and custom designing of intricate and detailed floor patterns and custom cutting each piece of tile on some projects, creating unique one of kind looks in many premier homes.
