The East Bloomfield Historical Society, established in 1969, is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich history of the East Bloomfield community in New York. Led by the passion and determination of local resident Mrs. Lena Saxby Steele, the Society houses over 7,000 artifacts in the historic East Bloomfield Academy building, dating back to 1838.
With a mission to provide an understanding of the area's history for present and future generations, the Society welcomes volunteers and individuals interested in serving on the Board of Trustees. Through their efforts, daily events of life in Bloomfield are recorded and preserved, ensuring the education and enjoyment of all who visit.
