Hispanic Counseling Center is a bilingual, bicultural, nonprofit social services agency that has been serving for more than 25 years. The center is licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health, New York State Office of Substance Abuse and New York State Office of Children and Family Services. It provides treatment services in various areas, including mental health, substance abuse, alcoholism, and youth and family services. The agency offers treatment and prevention services for chemical dependency and domestic violence. Established in 1977, the center was founded by the Nassau County Department of Drug and Alcohol Addiction. It additionally provides a variety of individual, group and family counseling, case management, support groups and after-school programs. The center also organizes educational workshops, family trips and summer camps.
